Who will be presenting?
Richard Hirstwood has extensive experience in special education – giving him the insight into what works, and more importantly, what doesn’t, in multi sensory practice. His innovative approach to everything is refreshing & inspiring!
Clive Smith has extensive experience in working with children with challenging behaviour, those on the autistic spectrum and/or with profound multiple and learning disabilities. As a specialist advisory teacher within a Behaviour Support Team previously, he is skilled at advising/ supporting staff to meet the diverse needs of this group.!
Naomi Rosenberg has been a specialist Teacher of the Deaf for pupils with complex needs, with twenty years experience. During this time, she has created & adapted a massive wealth of activities to bring music and communication to life. A lively & imaginative presenter, she is a Sensory Consultant & initiator of ‘Dance Massage.’!

Who should come to this? If you are a teacher, teaching assistant or therapist in a special school, special unit for pupils with autism, specialist college or inclusive pre-5 provision – you must come and join us! !
Course notes: The learning begins before you arrive with some relevant documents to read or information gathering exercises to complete as well as a suggested ‘wider’ reading list. All pertinent presentations & documents from the day will be available on a secure portal on our website, for you to continue your learning journey long after the training has finished!!
Times & housekeeping: The day begins from 9am for coffee and registration, with the course starting at 9.30am. We will finish around 3.30pm. All refreshments & lunch will be provided. To create your personalised access to our web site portal, we’ll ask you to sign into our event by giving your name & email address. We’ll then email you your username & password, as well as details of how to access the portal.!
