The Autism Bundle consists of three courses aimed at practitioners working with learners with autism including an introduction to sensory approaches; autism and difficult behaviour and an Environmental Audit.

These courses are aimed at special schools and specialist provisions working with pupils with more difficult Autism. They are suitable for teaching assistants, teachers, therapists and other educational practitioners.

Led by Chris Barson, a knowledgable, experienced and enthusiastic tutor with a deep passion to improve the lives and experiences of individuals with autism; and Richard Hirstwood who has the practical knowledge to enable educators/practitioners to maximise the impact of sensory learning opportunities.

In ‘Sensory Approaches for Learners with Autism’ we begin by outlining the specific difficulties experienced by learners with autism and the resultant impact on their learning.  We delve deeper in ‘Autism and Difficult Behaviour’ by examining the context of difficult behaviour and its triggers, suggesting effective strategies you can use.  Finally, in ‘Introducing an Environmental Audit’ we outline how to use this practical tool to identify barriers to learning in the classroom and how to make effective changes to reduce these.
